Link2 was formed to fill a need as a solutions-oriented company that is dedicated to serving our customers and manufacturers. We approach each project with enthusiasm and the ability to understand the big picture as well as the small details. Our staff has over 140 years of combined experience in the foodservice industry. Our team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals is always striving to promote our manufacturers and support the many channels within the foodservice industry.

Training

In the early stages of the equipment selection process, face-to-face, hands-on support is imperative. This is where our Test Kitchens and training come into play. With over 50 pieces of fully operational equipment, our test kitchens are the perfect place to learn about new technologies and test new products. Our Chefs, Chef Rob Schwalm and Chef Lily Weiderhold, are always available to work with you and your team to ensure the proper piece of equipment is chosen for your project. Once installed, our team of sales representatives is available to train your staff on-site so your concept can hit the ground running.

Selling

As a professional sales organization, it is critical that our team understands all segments of the foodservice industry. From K-12 schools to high-end casinos, our sales team is extremely knowledgeable about the diverse needs of the different segments in the foodservice industry. It is our job to represent our manufacturer partners through the entire sales and marketing process. As a Middleby Consolidated Representative firm, there is not a project that we are not involved with. This extensive reach in our region allows us to fully integrate multiple products that we represent into any project. Our team of 10 sales reps covers the entire region of Upstate NY, Western PA, and West Virginia.

Our training centers, located in Rochester, NY, and Pittsburgh, PA, are a critical part of our sales process. From hosting group meetings to detailed product testing, our test kitchens are busy multiple times a week. In today’s challenging foodservice industry, advancements in technology and evolving labor demands are continually shaping the landscape. The test kitchens are designed with these dynamics in mind, providing support to end users as they navigate and adapt to these challenges. Our kitchens’ utility design allows us to move equipment in and out as needed, ensuring that any required equipment can be brought in. Many key customers find themselves visiting our facilities multiple times throughout the equipment selection process.

Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry. He has always remained an active participant in industry events and organizations. Jeff’s experience with the MAFSI board of directors and executive committee, along with multiple rep councils, has enabled him to see the industry from a broader perspective. He has carried that perspective over to the Link2 Hospitality Solutions family.
Fred Carragher

FRED J. CARRAGHER

Owner

Fred Carragher has been an Independent Representative in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years. His expertise has included suppliers for both the back of the house and front of the house applications. This experience has allowed a unique perspective when approaching a hospitality based project. These projects have included working with B&I, Higher Education, Restaurants, Country Clubs, and Full Service Hotels to name a few. He can offer a perspective that allows an overall project analysis.
Kim Hayton

KIM HAYTON

Office Manager

Kim brings over 25 years of administrative experience to Link2. She is responsible for daily office procedures and management in the Rochester office. Here organizational skills ensure smooth operations in a busy work environment. Kim also assists with marketing, inside sales, and customer service.
Poppy Hudson

POPPY HUDSON

Inside Sales/Customer Service

Poppy has over 15 years of experience working extensively with custom commercial walk-in coolers, freezers and refrigeration. She works closely with dealers in designing the right walk-in to fit their customers’ needs. Poppy is also very knowledgeable in all of our other equipment lines. She provides quotes for bid projects and assists in finding the right products for specific applications.

ROB SCHWALM

Corporate Chef/Territory Manager

Rob Schwalm is a highly experienced culinary professional and a sales representative based in Rochester, NY. He holds a culinary degree and has worked as a chef at several upscale restaurants in Western New York. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Place Card Hospitality, which is the small wares and furniture representation arm for Link2 Hospitality Solutions. With his culinary backround, he is able to leverage his culinary expertise to support foodservice clients across Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

In his role, Rob not only manages sales but also assists demonstrations and educational sessions in the company’s test kitchens, helping clients explore and implement the latest foodservice equipment. His blend of culinary knowledge and sales experience makes him a valuable asset to his clients, providing them with tailored solutions to meet their operational challenges.

Julio Torres

JULIO TORRES

Dealer Specialist/Territory Manager

Julio has over 17 years of experience as a salesman and project manager in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. Starting as a smallwares specialist and installer, he went on to learn equipment and became a project manager where he designed several restaurants in the Rochester area. He has also managed many large projects for schools, hospitals and various other institutions. Julio is a dealer relationship specialist in the Upstate NY market.
Christine Taylor

CHRISTINE TAYLOR

Territory Manager

Chrissy has been in restaurant equipment and supply sales for over 15 years. She has worked closely with both healthcare and institutional accounts to partner with her customer base and meet their unique needs. She will be the Pittsburgh area Territory Manager for equipment and is excited to join the Link2 family.
Hannah Forshay

HANNAH FORSHAY

Accounting and Inside Sales Support

Hannah is the newest member of the Link2 family. She will be handling inside sales support and commission tracking for all Link2 companies. Hannah brings with her over 5 years of experience in customer service and supplier relations. She recently completed her business and accounting degree at MCC located in Rochester, NY.

Lily has been in the hospitality industry for 10 years. After graduating from culinary school in Denver, Lily worked as a culinary instructor and has previously worked in restaurants, hotels and catering. Lily will be working with both our East Rochester and Pittsburgh offices to bring our customers new and exciting ways to utilize our extensive suite kitchen equipment.
